Hey there, We're going to have a handful of videos to add to the site from people who were confused about the time that the contest closed. I think there will be three. You'll need the dropbox/upload link, title, name, description and category/region information. Right? Thanks C
Yes, but we'll also need them to register for Flicks and provide us with the email address they used to register.
Flicks to be added 1) e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org Dropbox link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/76938282/WE%20DO%20(ARE)%20MOZILLA%20FIREFOX-TODOS%20HACEMOS%20(SOMOS)%20FIREFOX.mov Flick Title: "We Do (Are) Mozilla Firefox" Description: Directed by Julian Rivera Contreras and Alberto Andres Florez Claro Collaboration from Anita Pieschacon. Crew: Marlon Calle Jacinto, Rodrigo Chávez Terrones, Diego Escalante Urrelo Category: PSA Region: Latin America
Another one with two submissions: 1) Same user for both submissions. Our profile: https://firefoxflicks.mozilla.org/fr/users/details/1583 Email used is email@example.com 2) ============ Submission 1 ============ (1) Link: http://download.tuxfamily.org/girinflick12/firefox01.mov (2) Flick Title: Firefox and You (3) Description: an animated version of a Red Panda (naming itself "The Fire Fox"!) saving the world, with a lot of help from all over the world! (4) Being based in Tokyo, we compete in: Category: "Animation" Region: Asia, Africa, Australia. ============ Submission 2 ============ (1) Link: http://download.tuxfamily.org/girinflick12/girinflick02_source.tar.gz It is in new technology. So it consists of nearly the same video, but modified with HTML5 (mostly). This is why I'd rather give the demo page as this is what matters (given above, http://girinflick12.tuxfamily.org/). This is what should be shown as this second submission. For details, the raw video is http://download.tuxfamily.org/girinflick12/firefox02.mov for good quality, http://download.tuxfamily.org/girinflick12/firefox02.ogv when used in the web page. The code is http://download.tuxfamily.org/girinflick12/girinflick02_source.tar.gz (2) Flick Title: Who is Really Mozilla? (3) Description: the video is nearly the same as our other submission, except that we removed all the drawn photos (except for the first one). People can upload their own photo of choice and indicate a location, either by HTML5 geolocation, by pointing it with the mouse on a map generated from the Open Source software and project Open Street Map (http://openstreetmap.org), or even by entering a human-typed address in a text box (and coordinates will be automatically searched through OpenStreetMap API, then the map will be updated and their position shown in the world). No other private information is queried: no real (or fake) name, no age, no nationality, etc. Only a box has to be checked to confirm you accept this photograph and location being used for video promotion by Mozilla. Therefore when the video is displayed (using HTML5 video tag and API), at the end all the little photographs which have been sent are displayed over the drawn map, at the position they indicated. This would make the biggest impact if hundreds (or thousands!) of users were to send their photo to fill this small map. Then Who is Really Mozilla? All of you obviously! The first three videos have been uploaded successfully: https://firefoxflicks.mozilla.org/en-US/video/585 https://firefoxflicks.mozilla.org/en-US/video/586 https://firefoxflicks.mozilla.org/en-US/video/587 The fourth has also been uploaded successfully, but we can't do anything with the interactive video, as it's not a static video file. It's an awesome idea, but we won't be able to display it on the site without backend changes to integrate their special video (and then we're relying on them to keep it up and running anyway). Fourth: https://firefoxflicks.mozilla.org/en-US/video/588 The sixth (karobertson's) returns a 404 when we try to retrieve the video. The seventh caused some issues on vid.ly's side, on which I'm currently working with vid.ly support to try and fix.
Seventh video uploaded! https://firefoxflicks.mozilla.org/en-US/video/589 Marking as resolved, feel free to reopen if the interactive video or the sixth video need to be uploaded.
