751264 - Need to buy/build an AC replacement for the Lithium Ion Battery used by the LG G2X

During the mobile meeting today, we discussed the possiblity of replacing the battery on the LG G2X with some kind of AC power supply. I understand it is possible to buy/build one of these.

We've had many problems with the batteries on the LG G2X running out of juice and the phone shutting off. In the short term, we're hoping to mitigate this by plugging these phones into an external power supply and running Eideticker off the network... however this is likely to prove less reliable than our existing solution (since it assumes that the phone will always stay on wifi), so this would still be highly desirable.

I don't know the details of where you'd buy (or how you'd build) one of these things, but I understand that other people at Mozilla do.

We solved this by permanently connecting the LG G2X an ac adaptor and connecting to it via SUTAgent.
