When any nightly or aurora built after the 28 March is launched, it starts normally (eating the CPU and memory like usually), but Firefox’ window never appears. It’s the same when I launch the profile manager. With the nightly from the 28 March everything works. I’ve narrowed the regression to this timeframe, but due to a compilation error I haven’t been able to bisect more: http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=244991519f53&tochange=1965a2c89d61 I run it on an up-to-date i686 ArchLinux. Switching to an x86_64 chroot doesn’t change anything.
Is this a custom Firefox build? Does this occur with a clean profile?
No, I only tried the builds from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/ as I have another bug preventing me to build. It occurs with a clean profile, the profile manager, even without ~/.mozilla at all. In all cases the memory and CPU usage are about the same as with the previous builds.
Is this still an issue with the latest nightly? I don't have an Archlinux machine to test on, unfortunately. Is this a widespread issue on this distribution?
