Steps to reproduce (droid bionic):
1. open http://google.com
2. in swype mode, start typing char by char text in the search box, e.g. "test test test"
3. extra spaces are inserted, e.g. 'te st t e s t...."

What you expected: 
No extra spaces, only what's typed

Hard keyboard? Software keyboard? If software which one?

Standard (for bionic) software keyboard in swype mode.
Would you locate the Swype version number. from the Android Home screen > Menu > Settings > Applications > All > Swype and the version number should be above the uninstall buttons

This bug is fixed in Fennec 14.
