When Chatzilla starts up, there is a vertical divider which splits Chatzilla
into a left and right side.    This divider should initially start out more to
the left.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start Chatzilla

3.

Actual Results:  Vertical divider is in the middle

Expected Results:  Vertical divider is much more to the left, leaving more room
for the actual chat part of the window.

Attachment: patch to fix persistance and initial position of splitter

The patch fixes this problem and also the lock of persistance which was a
side-effect.
