Steps to reproduce:
If I bookmark any web page in folder A them also bookmark the same web page (even if I change the name) in folder B, it will be deleted from folder A and ONLY reside in folder B. Repeatable.
Expected results:
If you save a bookmark in folder A you should also be able to bookmark it into folder B and have the same bookmark reside in both folders. Firefox 12 with current update already applied. Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

There are other ways to save the same bookmark in multiple folders (copy&paste, drag&drop,context menu), doing that through the star panel would be confusing.

That is not a fix. That is an inconvenient crude time consuming semi workaround. Does this mean "we aren't going to correct this issue"?

Yes, wontfix means that. While the interaction may change in future if we revise the bookmarking concept, what you describe here is how it's supposed to work for now.
