Update links should open in new tabs - if there are more plugins requiring update, the result of the scan is lost after you click on any Update button.
I use "Open in New Tab", instead of clicking, but it really should be the default behavior.
Any progress? Fixing this should be really easy.

This should be easy to fix - only adjust the <a> tags target. Or is there anything more which blocks fixing this bug?

Nope, it is a quick and easy fix. Just under the radar at the moment as there are bugs with a much higher priority. I will look at fixing this one this week though.
