752835 - For an IMAP account, user is not able to type when saving the draft manually

Steps to reproduce:

Create an IMAP account;
Compose a new message;
Type a few words in the body, then press "Ctrl-S" to save. The "saving message" dialog should appear for a while.


Actual results:

When the saving message dialog appears, we are unable to type in the compose window.


Expected results:

We should still be able to type in the compose window when saving message for an IMAP account.

You cannot type while it saves. But just after it finishes, you can type again.

That's why I report this issue. Sometimes it takes a lot of time to save.

It looks like a connection slowness issue, not a Thunderbird issue.

The slowness, of course, is caused by the connection. But there is something thunderbird can do: the saving can be done in the background, allowing users to type the email at the same time.

Thanks for your answer. Your answer indeed hide the "sending" dialog when sending mails, however, the "saving draft" dialog is still there.
