Details

STR:

1. Open some page that you can scroll vertically.
2. Open a link on that page in the background (long tap, open page).
3. While the "New tab opened" toast is showing, start panning down the page.
4. Notice that when the toast disappears, the page jumps back to the position
at the start of panning, undoing your panning work in that time.

I can not reproduce this at all; tested on planet.mozilla.org on a Samsung Galaxy SII (Android 4.0.3) (Nightly 05/09), and a Galaxy Nexus (Android 4.0.4) (Aurora 05/09).

Which page did you last see this on?
This happens on (nearly?) all pages. I can reproduce it consistently.
Whether it happens or not for me might depend on how quickly I scroll, bit I don't think it is page dependent.

:tn and I debugged a very similar issue over in bug 787001, and I believe it will fix this problem as well. Marking as a dupe, but please un-dupe if the fix doesn't work for you. There's a try build with the fix at https://tbpl.mozilla.org/?tree=Try&rev=699b60032e36 or you can wait for the patch to land.

I think this is fixed for me now. I do occasionally see some other scrolling anomalies, but they are probably a different bug. Thanks!
