On the Create Event page, all of the text in drop-downs is not centered [displays to the left and to the top of the field], and has very little space between the text and the border of the field. See screenshot.

Styling form elements accross browsers is rather an impossible task - so leaving browser (and potentially user) defaults in this case seems the best bet.
