User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/12.0 Build ID: 20120420145725 Steps to reproduce: Geolocation not working in FireFox 12 when teathering internet on mobile device Using OSX 10.6.8 Actual results: Basically mapping just doesn't show the current location when internet is teathered on Macbook if you visit the following site http://benwerd.com/lab/geo.php Or even this one http://merged.ca/iphone/html5-geolocation It will not work if your teathering your iphone on your macbook Expected results: Map should have been displayed

How should that work at all ? The IP of the Phone gives no information for geolocation and there is no GPS.

If you follow this example to the tee it works in latest version of Chrome but in Firefox 12 it doesn't. It will work if you are connected to a wireless or wired network but the fallback doesn't work if you are tethering your computer to the internet. http://www.netmagazine.com/tutorials/getting-started-html5-geolocation Scroll down until you see Getting basic geolocation data with a fallback In Chrome that example works perfectly but in Firefox 12 it doesn't
