On Linux, the bookmarks button is hidden. I can see it only in customization mode.

I've tried resetting my profile, with a clean profile and with a custom build.

I've been seeing this problem since Firefox 13 or 14.
I suppose that is Unity, with the autohiding menubar or system menubar?

Well, the other toolbar buttons aren't hidden, the only one is the bookmarks button. Wherever I move it, it's always hidden.
The behaviour is the same with the globalmenu addon disabled.

Ok, the problem is that the button is hidden because there's the menu bar enabled.
Can't we give users the opportunity to enable the button also when the menu bar is enabled?

(Considering that on Ubuntu the menu bar can't be disabled, if you use the packaged version of Firefox)
will be fixed by bug 748894, since the button won't hide anymore.
Depends on: 748894
