Irrespective of the Beta product being English only, we\'d like to do some message testing during the Beta period to see which  value props are most effective in which locales. 

I have added files for you in Committed revision r105204. File you should be translating is in https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/l10n-misc/trunk/androidmarket/fr/nativeui-fb-adds.txt . Aimed deadline is May 21st, but the sooner the better. Once you translate the files, please commit changes back to the SVN repo, and post a note in this bug, and close it.

Hello,

Due to the nature of the Facebook ad platform, would it be possible to try to reduce the number of words in each of the copy?

For the header (e.g "Naviguez en sécurité avec Firefox") it has to be 25 characters or less. For the body (e.g "Gardez le contrôle de vos données personnelles avec Firefox pour Android, le seul navigateur mobile qui respecte votre vie privée.") it has to be 90 characters or less.

Can you help us shorten the copy in your language while keeping the general message? Apologies for not noting the character limitation before, didn't realize implications of copy length in other languages. Will make sure to note beforehand

Thanks for your help! We have a few more messages we'd like to test. I have added this copy to the nativeui-fb-adds.txt file. Please note that some strings repeat as we are trying different combinations of the title and description.

Requirements: First line (title) is limited to 25 characters and the second line (description) is limited to 90 characters.

I commited the translated version in revision 107442 of the repository.

The 25 characters limit is really hard to meet in french, so one title is:
'Naviguez plus vite sur Android' which still is 31 characters long. We could not think of a way to shorten it more without dropping either the idea of browsing or Android (we could do something like 'Faster on Android' which would translate to 'Plus vite sur Android' or 'Browse faster' ('Naviguez plus vite') but none really felt right.
