It is not positioned strictly under the dropdown marker, and, oddly, depends on the width of the infobar.

This is probably because of the absolute position of the infobar.

(at least on linux)

This has become obsolete. There are still some alignment problems with the nodeinfobar but other bugs have been filed since the highlighter has been re-written.
