(or whichever movie strikes your fancy)
click on a link.
mozilla brings up a dialog asking if you want to save the file or launch quicktime.
choose to launch quicktime
mozilla downloads the file - but then does _not_ launch quicktime.
I'm using quicktime 5 public preview 3
[[ aside :
also - quicktime can open files directly - so instead of downloading the file-
why not just past the url to quicktime and let it open it? If you do this - the
app launches very quickly and quicktime will start "streaming" the file in (even
if it's not being streamed from the server) so you can immediately start
watching the movie.

Reporter:
Quicktime 5 is still in beta. Does the same happen for Quicktime 4? What build
of Mozilla are you using?

works nicely on quicktime player 4.x as a helper app. But crashes if I have the
plugin inside plugins folder.Crashes just when the clip is about to load inside
the browser window.
Summary: failure to launch quicktime after downloading file → quicktime movie crashes browser
The build I was using was 2001041108. I'll try to specifically register
Quicktime 5 as a helper app and see what happens.

With a newer QT 5 build (B18), I'm able to play movie with any problems. This
could have just been fixed by the newer plugins Apple has provided. Tested under
Windows ME and Mac 0S 9.

I forgot to say this is using QT as a plugin.

Reporter, can you try an updated version of Quicktime 5, if possible.

Reporter: marking WFM based on Shrirang and Petersen's comments. Please verify
with a release copy of QT 5 that it does not crash.
