755993 - compact folder pops up every few seconds while in inbox, starting in TB12

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_7_4) AppleWebKit/535.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/18.0.1025.168 Safari/535.19

Steps to reproduce:

nothing, just go to in box and while working there the "compact folders" pops up every few seconds.  There is a check mark in the compact folder drop down to compact as needed.  Removing or checking box no change.  Hard to work in folder due to this popup


Actual results:

Expected results:

When auto compact is checked this should be done in background

There are problems with the popup appearing too often (see bug 725810), but it should be only once per hour.

Do you allow the compation when it pops up?
What is your server type (POP, or IMAP) and how many accounts do you have?

Yes, that one too, but 725810 may be quite related too and has a patch.

Very strange. Is this still happening? What does "working there" mean? Are you deleting messages? For this to happen, I think the timer logic would have to be all wrong, because we shouldn't be prompting you more than once an hour.
