If/when Bug 756784 lands the ID that suite needs to overlay for viewSource will have change from filemenu-popup to menu_FilePopup

Not sure what you're trying to do here, are you trying to centralise the entire File->New submenu?

Well at the moment certain things have to be done twice, once in utilityOverlay and once in viewSourceOverlay, so I will look at what can be done with File->New submenu but also other things like close and quit.
