User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1) AppleWebKit/536.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/19.0.1084.46 Safari/536.5

Steps to reproduce:

Attempted to connect to any web site in the launchpad.net domain.


Actual results:

Timed out with error: The connection to launchpad.net was interrupted while the page was loading.


Expected results:

Normal load of main page.

NOTE - version of Firefox is 10.0.4 ESR running on Windows XP Home SP3.
NOTE - connection was successful with Firefox 12 on Ubuntu 12.04.

Do you use a third party Firewall ?
Can you try a new profile: http://support.mozilla.org/kb/Managing%20profiles

- NO FILTERING is in effect on my (external hardware) firewall. No software firewall is installed on XP. Otherwise, FF 12 on the Ubuntu box would be affected as well.

- Created a new FF 10 ESR profile with default settings and no Add-ons - same symptom as reported.

- FOR COMPARISON, FF 10.0.4 is installed in a Win2K virtual machine, same symptom as reported. Yes, I know that a Win2K unique issue would not be supported. I don't have any other supported Windows platforms at this time, will try for Win8 preview.

- FOR COMPARISON, FF 10.0.4 ESR was installed on Windows 8 Consumer Preview (platform not yet supported). Interestingly, it Was able to connect to launchpad.net .

- FF 10 ESR on Windows XP still gets Connection error shown in first post.

Matti, please decode 'wfm'.

Just tried FF 10.0.5 ESR on Win2K (unsupported), interestingly FF does Not stall when connecting to launchpad.net . Perhaps another SSL/TLS related bug fix has resolved this?

Will verify on Windows XP in two weeks if no one else has.

NOTE - tested https connection to launchpad.net using FF 10.0.11 ESR (latest) on WinXP (admin user) and Connection/login was Successful! Just to be sure, will test from limited user.  
Long a common occurrence in the software world, this bug may have been fixed by resolution of another issue (as yet unknown) since the last report.
