User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/536.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/19.0.1084.46 Safari/536.5

Steps to reproduce:

I have assign the following permissions to a group in "Edit Group Access Controls": Entry/mandatory/Mandatory/--



Actual results:

User can add new bug (that's good), but the user who added the bug is also able to edit his own created bug's fields.



Expected results:

I don't want the users who add the bugs to edit the same later, OR in another way, I don't want any USER WHO SUBMIT THE BUG to edit any field in any bug. Once they submit the bug, then they should only view it and not edit. How can I make this work ?

The short answer is: enable the CANEDIT bit for this product.

this question has been discussed with support, but the functionality what i've described above is not available in bugzilla. 

may be this is an enhancement feature.

This has maybe been discussed in support already, but this remains a support question. What I suggested in comment 1 works.

the answer is: "enable the CANEDIT bit for this product".

I did enable the CANEDIT bit, but it doesn't work. 

I tried all the combinations of group permission 

Entry, Mandatory/Mandatory, --
Entry, Mandatory/Mandatory, CANEDIT
Entry, NA/NA, CANEDIT
Entry, NA/NA, --
--, Mandatory/Mandatory, CANEDIT
--, NA/NA, CANEDIT
...
..
.
but still its not working. 

I want the users who add the bugs should not be able to edit the same.
Any solution ?

I am sorry, but I haven't get any proper solution/answer from support and I think this functionality doesn't exist then it should be posted on bugzilla.mozilla.org for further enhancement.

this functionality *does* exist, CANEDIT works.

i've tested it with the latest bugzilla version -- the UI will look like you can make edits, but when you hit submit you'll get an error.
