Can you respond to comment 1, if you have the wrong folders mentioned in bug 750781? Also, I think you haven't written about any crashes before so what changed now?
The problem was due to 2 empty FOLDERS called places.sqlite-wal and places.sqlite-shm !

When I deleted this 2 FOLDERS, freezes have disappeared.
Great!

After about 5½ hours the 2 empty FOLDERS called places.sqlite-wal and places.sqlite-shm where created again and the problems started again.

When I deleted them again the problems disappered.
OK, can you tell what is the value of the Local Directory field in Account settings -> Server settings of your account?
Is this what you want?
D:\MaRiCam1\E-post- ny plats from 2009-12-17\Thunderbird\Profiles\3l5fwml7.default
Or do you want something else?
Yes that's it. And it has a value that causes problems as said in bug 750781.

You must not have your mailbox directly in the profile folder.
You can use e.g.
D:\MaRiCam1\E-post- ny plats from 2009-12-17\Thunderbird\Profiles\3l5fwml7.default\Mail\<your server name>

(notice the addition of the Mail subdir).
Sorry, I missed copying the last 2 folders in Comment 9.
This is how it looks before I have done any changes:

D:\MaRiCam1\E-post- ny plats from 2009-12-17\Thunderbird\Profiles\3l5fwml7.default\Mail\Local Folders

Is it not OK?
That one is OK, but it seems to be for the special Local Folders account. You surely have at least one other account (POP3 or IMAP4). Each of them has its own Local Directory. Try to lookup all of them (you'll see the Server settings entry multiple times in the left pane of the Account settings).
Server: pop.allt2.se was in D:\MaRiCam1\E-post- ny plats from 2009-12-17\Thunderbird\Profiles\3l5fwml7.default

I changed it to D:\MaRiCam1\E-post- ny plats from 2009-12-17\Thunderbird\Profiles\3l5fwml7.default\Mail\pop.allt2.se
and restarted TB.
Then TB imported 585 duplkicate messages from the server.
The 2 empty FOLDERS called places.sqlite-wal and places.sqlite-shm where created again and the earlier problems came back, until I deleted the 2 Folders.
I restarted TB again and so far it´s working.
The 2 folders don´t reappear now.
