The history sidebar has 7 different folders in it... Older than 6 days 6 days ago 5 days ago . . 2 days ago Yesterday Today Which is fine; except if the user has their "Navigator->History" settings set to have history entries expire in fewer days than 7. For example - mine is set to keep track of only the last three days, then all expire. As a result, the 4,5,6,6+ days ago history is empty, and always will be. Shouldn't the history sidebar be able to look up the history expiration time, and only show the folders that contain entries to that point? (Or perhaps better, only show folders that contain entries?)
that's a good idea! I'll have it max out at the smaller of 7 and the expiration days this should be pretty easy to fix

Why max out at seven? What if the user wants to see something they visited two weeks ago?
let's deal with that in another bug - come up with a better way to group them, get them into the spec, then file the bug.
nav triage team: A more intelligent presentation of toplevel folders in the history window would be nice, but not a mozilla1.0 stopper. marking mozilla1.1

argh.. take two at reassigning history bugs to new owner

Won't bug 78749 basically take care of this? We'll only show folders that have entries. This seems even better than showing all folders up to the expiration date, even if they're empty.
