We should give developers the ability to copy+paste some CSS/JS so they can link from their websites to their apps on the Marketplace.

I saw this http://i.imgur.com/rXApn.png at http://clock6.com/ and it looks like the Chrome Web Store has a whole branding kit:

This is a fine idea, and Product would probably love it, but let's write a few paragraphs about what it would be and do. Also, in this brave new world, you're going to need buy in from product/ux/branding.

Hello! I was looking for badges for the marketplace and I was told that there was none. I put on my design hat for a bit and designed multiple images for developers to link to their marketplace listings.

I can make any adjustments needed, you can see them all here:

We would like to have a button to either, go to a details page, or go directly to a download or purchase.

Now we have them! David/UX, we should come up with a page somewhere to point developers to these. Thoughts?
We could add them to the affiliate program site, though it might be nice to have a place that doesn't require sign-in :)

What we would need is put this on devhub. We also need a snippet of code, for instance, if a developer is linking directly to their app. It would be good to have a tracking code as well so we can get the source.

Like this builder:

I agree with David that DevHub seems like a good place to put this. Later when it is merged with MDN to form the dev ecosystem, it should also be housed there.

For now, it can be put under the “Publish” section (alternatively, we can make a section called “Promote”, but this might be overkill) under a page called “badges” or “banners”.
We should add this content directly into the MDN apps pages, since Devhub as it exists today will be merged into MDN by the end of Aug. But no reason it can't live both places in the mean time, IMO.

Also, not to be a party-pooper, but has any one on John Slater's team signed off on this?

The MDPocalypse didn't happen and docs are still flowing into devhub. Can we get a plan to add this to the devhub? And if not, can someone get the ball rolling on MDN?
Here’s a sample starting text for the section. Please feel free to revise it.

Section: Publish

This is the Q4 plans and is actually is a marketing ask for an Affiliate Program.
