Hi!

I use mozilla 8.0 for Linux.

This problems occurs when I use the context (right button) menu to
Insert/Delete/Select in table. The next time I try to use it the respective
second level menu does not appear. If I use another submenu usually all three
submenus stop appearing.

Using the main menu doesn't influence the appearing/disappearing of these submenus.

I haven't found such a problem in previous versions of mozilla.

Could you please try a more recent version of mozilla?  0.8 is really old. 
Please try 0.8.1, or better yet a recent nightly.
