Steps to reproduce:

1. download the nightly build of http://nightly.mozilla.org/ today with FF12.0
2. open firefox-15.0a1.en-US.win32.installer.exe


Actual results:

A popup dialogue as me to provide the password for administrator, also the current user is a member of the administrator groups.


Expected results:

I should be able to install FF15 with my current account

A typo to correct, in Actual results, ``also'' should be "although"

Find another typo, so let me write the "Actual results" again:

A "Run as" dialogue asks me to provide the password for administrator, although the current user I am using now is a member of the administrator groups.

This sounds like a problem in Windows, not a problem with Firefox, but I might want to double check this with our platform guys. Never seen this happen on Windows on my machines I've got, although I saw a forum post about this here:

Brian - Do you know why the problem identified in this bug and in the forum post occurs with firefox? Is this a problem on our end or Microsoft's end?

I had the same problem in the past...
but on my site it was a Windows security setting and not an FF bug.

can you please confirm that it was the same on your site?
