It looks like Kevin did some work here. We still should be more explicit in the installation that ES is required: http://mozilla.github.com/zamboni/topics/install-zamboni/

I think search is gone and ES has its own page now: http://zamboni.readthedocs.org/en/latest/topics/install-zamboni/elasticsearch.html

Not sure if there is more to do here but calling this fixed.
