I have a Galaxy Tablet 10.1 (1st Version) and I uninstalled Firefox. I installed Firefox Beta and when I open it from apps it opens the old version even though it shows the Beta icon.

Hey Paula,
Glad to see that you're interested in testing the tablet version of Firefox Beta. Unfortunately, the Firefox Beta optimized for tablet-versions that we rewrote for phone's is not yet ready for usage as development on it is still premature. The version we currently offer to tablet users on the Google Play store is our older release (it's confusing, I know).
If you want to take a peak at some early tablet UI optimized development, feel free to download Nightly (our developer channel product) at http://nightly.mozilla.org. The download is at the bottom for Android.
