User Agent: Mozilla/5.0(Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/3.6
Build ID: 20120528154913

Steps to reproduce:

Started Firefox and used it for a while.

Actual results:

Right-click (context) menu in Windows XP no longer work!. When they are used, the computer hangs, even after Firefox process is killed!
The only fix is the log out or restart the computer and avoid using Firefox!

Expected results:

Firefox should fix its context menu handler ASAP!
Older versions of Firefox dis not have this problem
This is not a security bug.

Can you provide the exact steps you are taking which result in hanging context menus? In particular, what are you right-clicking on? If you are right-clicking on Flash objects, there has been a known bug for a while that occasionally and for unknown reasons the Flash process will stop responding and appear to hang Firefox.

Adding qawanted to try to reproduce.
I've been unable to reproduce this on Windows XP SP2 with Firefox 3.6.29pre 2012-05-13 nor Firefox 13.0b6. Unfortunately, there is not much detail to go on. Reporter, please clarify exactly what you are right clicking on and provide more detailed steps to reproduce.

Thanks

Untracking since we haven't had any other reports. Thanks Anthony.
I think this should be closed, because in 2 years we don't get same report.

can you maybe confirm, that this was just a temp problem on the Beta of Version 13?

thanks for opening the bug and for all your help.
