The highcharts documentation does in-client text indexing for search. You can find it here: http://www.highcharts.com/stock/ref/#chart This is excruciatingly slow in Firefox Nightly 15.0a1 2012-05-30. It is definitely an order of magnitude slower than Chrome, possibly two orders of magnitude. What takes seconds in Chrome takes a couple of minutes if Firefox. Worse, this hangs Firefox itself while the indexing happens.
