I don't want the "plugin updater" It doesn't help me to know I need to update when I have older software and hardware that can't be updated and no option to opt out!!!

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2.28) Gecko/20120306 Firefox/3.6.28 Build ID: 20120306064154 Steps to reproduce: Clicked on updater Actual results: Prompted me to update to newer software. Tried, but couldn't, due to older software and hardware that can't be updated. I continue to be prompted to update my plugins even though I can't. Expected results: I should have an option to opt out. The constant prompting is driving me crazy!!!!!!

broc@swing.be: Your comment is incorrect. The reporter of this bug is using 3.6.x and she/he should only get a notification bar (a warning) and that can be disabled with the steps in bug 758294
