Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/536.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/19.0.1084.52 Safari/536.5

Steps to reproduce:

Hard refreshed a page using Windows Authentication by using Ctrl+F5 hotkey

Actual results:

Firefox prompted me for credentials for every image and javascript file on the page. See this thread for more details: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/896696

Expected results:

Firefox should have prompted me for credentials just once. This was the behavior in 7.0.1 and earlier. Every version from 8-13 is affected by this issue.
Seems to be taken into account by the firefox team cause it doesn't show up any pop-up on Firefox14b7.
Anyone confirm this?

Can you confirm you saw this behavior in a Firefox version older than 13 and don't see it now with a Nightly?

Oh no the pop up is showing again with the last nightly build!
So that ok with FF14 trunk but not with the trunk 16 O_o

Do you think you could be able to find a regression range (the exact dates when this broke with Nightly) for this issue?
There's a pretty simple tool you can use if you're willing to try it:
http://harthur.github.com/mozregression/
Here's a guess that may make the regression range easier to find: I bet it's the same as mentioned in bug 766817 comment 14 (look for the two versions mentioned at the end of the comment.
I noticed Firefox 15 beta still has this issue. After it came back with one of those nightly builds with FF14 did it ever resolve itself again?
The bug was solved with FFX-14 but he is back with FFX-15....
Using Firefox 15.0.1 (Release Channel)
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0.1

On a corporate network which uses AD to validate for network access. Page loads fine, however doing a "hard refresh" causes credentials prompt for every item on the page.
Just wanted to report we're seeing this in our environment as well. Any of our internal intranet sites that use Windows Integrated Authentication work fine with Firefox 15.0.1, but if we hold down the shift key and click "Reload", forcing the browser to refresh without regard to the cache, we get a bunch of authentication popups.

Looks like we're getting an authentication popup for each resource (image, etc) on the page.

If you supply the correct credentials for each, it does eventually load properly.

We sometimes use shift refresh to resolve problems where a machine has stale javascript code cached in the browser and we need it to be discarded and loaded from the server, so this but is very annoying.

Thanks.
This issue persists since FF8, while the OS doesn't seem to matter.

also, i think this is a dupe of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=318253
