Details
Make "kb" format conform to countrie's standard (capitalisation, spacing) Some countries write "kb", others "KB" Some countries write "1234 kb (best), others "1234kb" (US, difficult to read). Some countries write "1,234 kb, some 1.234 kb (komma vs period, see bug 74716). Mozilla should display according to the country code settings in the OS.

Peter, unless you can provide citations from style guides (rather than just examples which might be in error) that accepted style for this really does differ in different countries, this is a dup of just doing the Right Thing. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 65710 ***

ahh, the other bug is about making the size according to "SI" (systeme international) which is only one standard. We should consider conforming to each countries' standards by using/retrieving the OS's country code settings.
