Steps to reproduce:

Click on Help->About Firefox again starts re-downloading the updates even though the update is in progress.


Actual results:

Click on Help->About Firefox again starts re-downloading the updates even though the update is in progress.


Expected results:

It should continue with the already downloading process instead of restarting the update process.

Please attach (using the 'Add an attachment' link above) the active-update.xml and updates.xml files which can be located with a default install as follows:

for Windows Vista and above type the following in the Start Menu search box and press return.
%LOCALAPPDATA%
Then navigate to \Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\

for Windows prior to Windows Vista type the following in the Start Menu -> run box and press return.
%USERPROFILE%
Then navigate to \Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\

We no longer stop the download when opening and closing the about dialog and there have been a few other race conditions fixed in the about dialog both of which can cause this so resolving as works for me. If you can still reproduce using a nightly build please either reopen this bug or comment in this bug and I'll reopen it. Thanks!
