Can we get this hooked up to Google Groups or is that still broken? In bug 754317 we ran into the inability to sync these two services and just decided to use Google for simplicity's sake.

"It depends" is the most reliable answer. New lists that are created appear to be picked up by Google Groups correctly (except when they don't). It is particularly the 'legacy' groups that GG has been less responsive on being able to resolve (pending an update to their backend system, iirc)
