Steps to reproduce:

I click on the inbox of my IMAP mailadres so he start looking for new mails.



Actual results:

I get a message that the connection time is expired.


Expected results:

Thunderbird should download my new mails.

You might have an unstable network connection. Can you easily perform other tasks using the Internet (browsing, chatting, etc...)?
What are the values of mail.server.server1.timeout where server1 is your server ?

and mailnews.tcptimeout ?

Do you have a firewall that might prevent Thundrbird from connecting to the internet ?
