User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:10.0.5) Gecko/20120606 Firefox/10.0.5 Build ID: 20120606080634 Steps to reproduce: I was logged into the https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/user/signin/ page with my email address, and went to the https://builder.addons.mozilla.org/user/signin/ page to use the Addons Builder. I was asked to login again using a Browser ID. There was no way to continue even though I was already logged in??? So I was offered a Browser ID login form IN CHINESE??? How did this happen, as I'm here in the UK? Expected results: It would have been nice to have just continued with out having to login again - I don't really want to use Browser ID. Having said that, it would help if the BID login form was actually in my native language - British English. So I cannot learn about using the builder now to create my first Firefox extension :(
Component: Extensions: BrowserID → Add-on Builder
Product: bugzilla.mozilla.org → addons.mozilla.org
QA Contact: browserid → add-on-builder
Version: Development/Staging → unspecified
Why am I being asked to login to the Addons developer pages, when I was already logged in as I have just come from the Addons site?
This is the BrowserID login screen I'm presented with, after entering my email I used for the Addons account - keith@karsites.net.
I went to Google translate to do this.
This looks like a possible bug in BrowserID. Would you be able to hop into IRC to help diagnose?
Ok. The emails are not being sent out. I finally went to the: https://browserid.org/signup page, and registered there. However I tried 2 different email address - 1 keith@karsites.net and the other a yahoo rocketmail account. Neither of the account verification emails have been sent/received so far. So still cannot activate my BrowserID account to login to the Addons Developer website!

You could use ChatZilla addon to do so: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/chatzilla/ The server is irc.mozilla.org:6667, room is #flightdeck
If not, could you paste the headers of the request to browserid.org/sign_up?
You can also use mibbit.com for quick access to our IRC channels: http://www.mibbit.com/ Scroll down to the Chat Now button/link In the Connect pull-down menu, pick Mozilla Pick a Nick for yourself or use the default (Nick = your name or some other name) Channel is #flightdeck We need to investigate this from 3 angles: 1. The Mozilla property you are using 2. The actual BrowserID Sign Up process and dialogs 3. The email domains that should have received incoming mail from browserid.org
I'm on chatzilla now - sputnik-1 :)
I think we discovered two issues here: 1. The mixed language use in the BID dialogs needs further investigation by the BID team. 2. The missed emails (blocked/lost ?) is a separate issue. We were able to show that he can get emails sent from browserid.org to a mailinator.com account, but not rocketmail.com or karsites.net Would be interesting for him to try yahoo, msn, or gmail to see if the results are consistent. This bug should probably then be split out into two bugs.

OK,I'll say,i came across the same problem just as keith. (1)I'm running firefox 13.0.1 on ubuntu 10.04(2.6.32-35),here is my user-agent : "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0.1" if i try to SignIn in the AddOn Builder it opens the "BrowserID" page where i can enter my email adress and my password, but then a small red popup appears with text "BrowserID Not enabled". (2)i also tested chrome, logged in successfully, its user-agent: "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686) AppleWebKit/535.2 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/15.0.874.121 Safari/535.2" (3)then i tested in my virtual machine(virtualbox+xp) all OK,user-agent: "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0.1"
OK. Adding in some BrowserID/Persona Devs to look this over. I do not recognize the "BrowserID Not enabled" error message...

Hello, Did you disable send HTTP referer? Add-on Builder required HTTP referer for authentication. Try enable send HTTP referer.
The builder project has been discontinued as of April 1st, 2014. The announcement last year: https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2013/12/18/add-on-builder/ Next steps (still being written): https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/SDK/Builder
