User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:13.0) Gecko/20120604 Firefox/13.0 SeaMonkey/2.10 Build ID: 20120604225847 Steps to reproduce: installation of WOT 20120515 addon Actual results: after installing WOT 20120515 on my Seamonkey browser on Linux, all other addon icons in the status bar disappeared. tried this with SM 2.91 & 2.10, both same behaviour! Started with a clean Seamonkey installation without addons and added addons one by one until WOT installed, icons were gone again! Expected results: icons on the right side of status bar should still be present maybe offtopic, but WOT forum didn t react

1. What is WOT and what is the WOT addon? 2. If the bug is only present with that third-party addon enabled, and disappears if you disable or uninstall it, then it is probably the addon's fault i.e. not a Mozilla bug i.e. INVALID. If the addon's authors fail to reply when you make the problem known to them, then — tough luck. 3. If it's no Mozilla bug, it might still be possible to get some traction by moving the bug to the "Tech Evangelism" product, but don't put your hopes too high, and read http://www-archive.mozilla.org/projects/tech-evangelism/site/procedures.html first. It is obsolete, but's the best I'm aware of.

Private email from Achim Woellgens: > Hi Tony, > > sorry, if it WAS too offtopic on the buglist of Mozilla, but with 36 Mio. user I thought it might affect others and be a hint and there was no reaction from their (developers) side so far. > WOT is an addon to inform about trustworthy sides and safety measures conc. it. Ah yes, the "Web of Trust" thing, I vaguely heard about it before but the acronym didn't ring a bell when I saw it. Sometimes it helps when you spell it out in full. > But it IS indeed a 3rd party addon s problem, so this was just meant as an info, if unnecessary, please, ignore then, but I didn t know where to turn to for this... > After deinstalling it, SM 2.10 works fine again! > and thanks for the additional infos! > > bye > Achim Well, if the addon's authors don't react to bug reports, there might, alas, be nowhere at all to turn to, unless you know someone with the capability, time and willingness to write a replacement. If you can do without it, well, maybe that's the way to go. Sorry I can give you no better help.
