User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0
Build ID: 20120612164001
Steps to reproduce:
Went to some pdf links
http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/ipad_user_guide.pdf
and
http://stpaulgenesee.net/images/stories/downloads/bulletins/bulletin_20120617.pdf
Actual results:
For email addresses and URL links, the FF15 rendering has a double rendering of the text. One is black and the other is blue and they are slightly offset. Note that this is on the latest Aurora [12-6-15]. It was not there a few days ago, not sure of the date.
Expected results:
Single text rendering in one color with no offset
I'm not able to reproduce your issue with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:16.0) Gecko/16.0 Firefox/16.0a1.

I don't think it occurred in a1; note I said a2 [12-6-15]
Sorry, just noticed you said Firefox/16.0a1. I'm seeing this in Firefox/15.0a2 [12-6-15]

Do you use the internal PDF extension ?

No. I used Firefox/15.0a2 [12-6-15]. I just retested in safe mode and the issue is gone. Must be an extension conflict, something in my userChrome.css or hardware acceleration. I will poke around later today and see if I can isolate the problem.
I will post back here.
Issued resolved. The offender was Greasemonkey 0.9.20. I will inform them of the issue.

After further checking GM is not the issue. It was a GM script, the culprit was Linkify Plus 2.1.3
