The summary says it all. The reason why I think it matters is that I often type URLs manually into my desktop browser. With Youtube URLs, it is very hard given that these characters look almost exactly the same.

The URL in the screenshot is:

As far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong), we use the same system font from the system, which is probably either Droid Sans or Roboto so I don't think we have any control of changing this.

Some of my phones allow users to change the system font.

I've long wanted something in between a programming mono-spaced font and a nice proportional font for the address bar. Taking the distinction of similar characters from programming fonts and applying it to a UI-style font. Input Sans (http://input.fontbureau.com) hits most of my boxes but something about the spacing doesn't quite work for me. (setting the font in userChrome.css)
