Please provide more details in a comment, including how you are trying to open Firefox, which specific steps from http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser_will_not_start_up that you followed, and what happened as a result in each case. Also if and when opening Firefox previously worked. A last thing to try is holding down the Shift key while starting Firefox.
