Description

STR:
1) Visit https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Firefox_3_for_developers
2) Login with Persona/ BrowserID
3) Hit the edit button
4) ISE occurs

The strange thing is that i am able to edit other pages

Expected Result:
1) User should be able to edit the page
Very interesting.

On this page (and only this page) the "Edit" button links to "[base-url]$edit". Isn't this the Kuma syntax? Why is this happening on production?

Raymond: Could you play around with a few different articles to see if this is more widespread?

Dev team: Assuming this is the only affected page, let's not worry about this until the next planning meeting. I know you guys already committed to a lot this sprint.

You are correct, this is the Kuma edit syntax

I have checked a few pages and edits work fine on those example HTML
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/HTML
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/WebSockets

Also interesting...

Uses Mindtouch: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Firefox_3_for_developers
Uses Kuma: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Firefox_3_for_developers

The difference is the localization: en uses Mindtouch, en-US uses Kuma. Is this intentional?
This is probably related to bug 766003. There should be a waffle flag working right now that prevents access to pages under /en-US/docs/* altogether.

That is, the expected result should be that this URL is a 404 and you shouldn't see it or an edit button whatsoever.
Depends on: 766003

Yes, it's intentional. Doc URLs under kuma are moving with respect to the old mindtouch URLs. But, as per bug 766003, the kuma wiki should not be enabled or visible on production

This is fixed now. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Firefox_3_for_developers properly returns a 404 since Kuma is disabled on production.
