767468 - Doesn't store link to file in History

In Debian, in Iceweasel, when I click on a link like below:

<a href="file:///tmp/file.mp4">Video</a>

it remembers that I clicked it in History (the link changes from blue
to purple). However, in Firefox, it does not remember it.

Are you still experiencing this problem?

Could you please try the following, to see if you still reproduce the issue :

1) try this with a clean profile: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

2) running in Safe mode: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
