Formatting the summary on two consecutive lines sounds much better.
Summary: Summary change bugmail is usually unreadable → Summary change bugmail is usually unreadable due to using two columns
i disagree it would be better, especially when multiple fields are changed at the same time.

html bugmail utilises the full width of your email client, resulting in a significantly improved email.

Why?

I've filed this bug about plaintext bugmail.
I, too, find the changed fields nigh-unreadable in the plaintext emails I receive in gmail.
Yeah, forgot to mention. This is probably not demonstrated well in the default bugzilla theme, since it uses a monospace font. The assumption that every plaintext mail client uses a monospace font is entirely bogus.
