Please post the following video to the Our Videos page in the Mozilla and Community section. http://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/serv/drafts/FFx-in-your-language.mp4 http://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/serv/drafts/FFx-in-your-language.ogv http://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/serv/drafts/FFx-in-your-language.webm The name of the video is: Firefox in your language A short description is: Hear Mozillians from around the world talk about Firefox. I'm CC'ing Matej on this to see if he has any thoughts on either the video name or description. For reference, this is tied in to a campaign coming up later this summer (see bug 765857 for details).
I think that name and description are great. Short, clear and they capture the essence of what the video is about. Let me know if there's something else you wanted to convey there, but otherwise I'm good with what you have. Thanks for looping me in.

We'll need a thumbnail for this. And I can do it pretty quickly after that.

Tara and/or David, do you have a preference as to what frame is used for the thumbnail? If yes, let me know the timestamp of it. Otherwise I'll pick at random.
how about something around :18 with mozilla argentina. there's more than one person and it doesn't have "summit" swag in the background.

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier. Crazy week with Firefox launch and performance issues. So I have everything (title, description, thumbnail and videos). One last thing though, could we move the videos to something more permanent than /drafts?

I think Rik is asking about the directory where the files are placed on the server. For instance: http://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/serv/drafts/FFx-in-your-language.mp4 If we wanted to move those, we'd need to ask IT.
Yeah, either IT or whoever uploaded them in the first place. We usually put those videos in a subdirectory in the /marketing directory.

We're blocked by bug 776754, unless we decide to live with having videos live in a "drafts" folder. Before we do that, I'd like to confirm no one is planning to remove files from there anytime soon.
I thought we were going to move those? I don't have access or ability to do that so I thought we were pinging someone who could (on IT) to move it to a more appropriate folder ?

We have put in the request with IT (bug 776754, still open). They were pinged yesterday.

Ben, would this be a good bug to assign a mentor to so we could help a volunteer add this video to the page?
David, yes on having a volunteer add video to this page.. However: This bug looks to be blocked by some IT work on 776754, that's probably something an employee is better ushering along. I'll add malexis & jennifer to these since it's mozilla.org content and they can help resolve. Once the IT bug is fixed we can mentorize this bug.

David: I started to look into this and do not see those videos at the above links: http://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/serv/drafts/FFx-in-your-language.mp4 I logged into the server and do not see any videos under /drafts or /marketing It's possible I am restricted from viewing the videos in those directories via the filesystem. Regardless can you get these videos into their permanent home? If so I can then update this page for you.

The link above is broken for me too and I'm seeing the file now at http://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/serv/drafts/Firefoxinyourlanguagedeus.mp4 I'm copying Spencer for guidance on if this is the best link to use and if this location is permanent.
