Steps to reproduce:

Changed update settings to "check for updates, but let me choose whether to install them".


Actual results:

Since version has come out, I have had trouble with the options in the update section.  I have twice now selected "check for updates, but let me choose whether to install them", and twice I have opened Firefox only to find that it has automatically updated without asking, and also reverted to the default setting of "update automatically".


Expected results:

Firefox should have verified whether I wished to update before updating.  Firefox should also not revert to default update settings after updating.

Firefox shouldn't change your settings itself, try a new profile maybe.

Oscarian, did this happen to you with older Firefox versions? Can you please try to reproduce it in safe mode or with a clean profile?
