User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0.1
Build ID: 20120614114901
Steps to reproduce:
I want to open the "new tab" page in the current tab. I used to do that with the "Speed Dial" extension: after viewing my homepage, or whenever, I can choose which site to go later. That's very comfortable.
Actual results:
I can do it only opening a new tab: so I should open a new tab, choose the site, and close the previous one. It's more convenient to enter the address, which means the "new tab" page is unuseful to me.
Expected results:
If I had a toolbar button, I would have used the new tab page.

Worth mentioning the current workarounds are to set about:newtab as the homepage, so the homepage icon becomes that button, or just bookmarking about:newtab so it's clickable on the bookmarks toolbar.

OMG I thinked about it, but I forgot, sorry. Yes, you're right. I think the former to be the mainstream fix, mine is a particular use. I don't know if people are able to set about:newtab as a homepage though, even if it's very easy.
