reproducing a bug with twitter being blank. On latest nightly build, July 6th

wfm with Seamonkey trunk and FF13.0.1 Please try it in the Firefox safemode http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
Tried safe mode. Problem still persists.
1) Remove the browser cache. 2) If that fails, try a new Firefox profile (see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles)
WFM on: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:16.0) Gecko/16.0 Firefox/16.0 (20120703041519) Reporter, did this issue reproduce for you with older Firefox builds? Can you please try to reproduce this issue in safe mode or with a clean profile?

I don't think there's enough information to move this to a component until we have some idea either of what's going wrong or why the reporter sees different behavior from the rest of us.

Update: Safe mode deos NOT resolve issue. Issue also manifests in comet bird 11.0 Same behavior in Flock Chrome on same machine(Win XP, SVP3) works fine. Peculiarity: on 2012 06 27 some intermittent access to Twitter returned. Access then vanished 0n 2012 06 30 in the PM , Pacific. Would be glad to revert to 12.0: Where does one access 12.0 file ? Please advise.

Addendum: Observed on the same machine: => IE will load Twitter page with Http but NOT with https.
Can you switch your proxy settings in tools/options/advanced/network/settings to "no proxy" in case it set to something different.

I have reproduced the bug in my nightly build version 16.0a1 Steps to reproduce: * Ctrl+T to open new tab * type directly in url bar "twitter.com/#!/[twitter user name here]" * load page; (page says it's taking a long time to load tweets. after a few moments, page shows that 20 new tweets are available) * click refresh button * page loads with blank content I made an attachment to show the reproduced bug. after retrying [to access] the twitter page, the full page displayed properly. Am unable to further reproduce the issue so far.
Did you test your STR with a new Firefox profile on FF16?

I tried the exact STR as I typed above, only the page loaded fine the first time. I tested this page: twitter.com/#!/christinelove closed the tab, Ctrl+t for a new tab, tried with a different user's url: twitter.com/#!/bungie worked fine again at this page. works on my main profile as well. The problem does not persist on my machine. I Would be interested to hear back from OP.
In about:config. Changing network network.http.pipelining, and network.http.pipelining.ssl from false to true seems to currently resolve the issue, Both in FF and Cometbird

Hashtag searches don't load either.

The problem might lie somewhere in the configuration of your firefox profile, which (I believe) would be shared among all those applications. To set all the configuration options to their defaults, it would be useful if you could start a new firefox profile if you have not already done so. The Mozillazine Knowledge base has a pretty good article on setting up new profiles: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Creating_a_new_Firefox_profile_on_Windows
Also, does the problem occur on other browsers?

I have a problem that seems similar. At some point, Twitter refuses to load almost all pages - I just see the spinner in the tab favicon area. Pressing stop and refresh never helps. Restarting the browser makes things work again. It is tricky to repro reliably as the point at which it stops working seems somewhat random.

Depending on what you need to set up on the new profile, you may be able to do this automatically. just navigate to about:support, or in the 'Help' menu click 'Troubleshooting Information". The button that says "Reset Firefox" will create a new profile with your old data preserved, minus extensions/ personas, customized toolbars, and any about:config tweaks. Reproducibility might have been next to impossible due to a tangle of extensions and plugins. My guess is the culprit was lurking in the Ghostery and/or ABP settings,all running on a probably corrupt Win XP. Thanks for following up.
