I am on Firefox 13.0.1 and when I search in my Awesomebar, the search results flicker. I've been seeing this intermittently for the past 2 days. Currently I'm not sure how to reproduce this, but am willing to help with any information possible.

I've attached a Detailed Firefox configuration information that I got from the about:support page.

I believe reported a similar bug (issue 787220) a few days ago. I also just found issue 740043 that was reported before both of ours. In that issue report the reporter was able to solve the issue by changing browser.urlbar.delay from the default value of 50 to 0 (see comment 4), and that fixed it for me as well.

Changing the value of browser.urlbar.delay is not a correct solution because, this flickering occurs sometimes while at other times the behaviour is as expected with the default value of the pref. I feel this problem is with some other part of the code. Another downside is that this is not easily reproducible, hence I am not sure it could be tested even after fixing it or how can I show/prove the validity of this bug.
