Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0.1 Build ID: 20120615112143 Steps to reproduce: Opened Firefox after add-on's like Lazarus or Noscript have been updated. Actual results: Updated add-on's open a tab to notify me of the update. Expected results: No such tabs should have been opened. Although, if it didn't steal focus, or were instead an info bar with a count of the add-on's updated, it would be acceptable.
How about reporting to the Extension Authors and asking them nicely to Change the Behavior?
Could be a duplicate of bug 705632, which has a detailed proposal for an info bar.
