RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 279846

People

(Reporter: z.reinberk, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0.1
Build ID: 20120614114901

Steps to reproduce:

I have modified a draft saved on IMAP server by my colleague.

Actual results:

When I tried to modify the draft, the outgoing e-mail address was automatically changed to another e-mail address - there are more accounts in my Thunderbird.
In other words - Thunderbird has forgotten the account, where the draft was saved and chose another (the first, random or last used account from my account list?).

Expected results:

The outgoing e-mail address had to stay the same, as my colleague has saved - according to the account where the draft has been saved.

Your colleague saved the draft initially using his account? And then you used it to save it as your account? If that is the case, I think it is logical for Thunderbird to change the sender.

What do you call by "outgoing e-mail address"? From: mail adress?
If From: mail adress, perhaps dup of bug 279846.

Me and my colleague have access to the same IMAP account. My colleague has created an e-mail and saved it into Drafts for my review.
I opened it, checked the text (unfortunately not the sender e-mail address) and after that I sent it. But Thunderbid changed the sender address to another.
I think, that is very unexpected feature, there is no reason to change the sender address.

Yes - the Scenario 2 is exactly my problem.
Closing as dup of bug 279846, per comment #4.
