Pull up today's build, and type a local url into the urlbar... /home/jg works for me. Watch as no content is loaded. Instead a new window gets opened, then another, and another, until it either segfaults or you close one of the windows, then it segfaults.
-> netwerk:file. seeing as well on my linux pull from today. 0.9 blocker

I just updated my tree, still occurs. If you close any new window after typing in a local URI, the whole thing segfaults. If you close any new window after typing in ftp://ftp.mozilla.org, the window closes, no new windows appear, and the app seems stable. Also, over ftp, it *seems* that one new window is created per item found on the ftp site, at least that's my perception from over a slow link. This is certainly a 0.9 blocker.

some people are stating they are not seeing this, makes we wonder. This was supposed to have been fixed, so perhaps cvs is acting up again...
I don't see this, in either yesterdays nightly, or a current CVS build. (on linux) The description of one window being opened per url matches bug 76291, which was fixed.
i also repulled, still occurs. I will see if perhaps cvs ommited that patch somehow...
Apparently, delete dist/bin/component.reg and it fixes this. I just did it and it worked. Doron is now going to try to verify.
ok, did so and it fixed it.

regxpcom needs to be run manually for opt builds - if you don't do that, you will get problems. Marking INVALID.
